CRSF Scholarship
Application Package
The Canadian Rope Skipping Federation is proud to sponsor an annual Canadian educational scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to any student entering post secondary education. The recipient must be graduating from a secondary school in the current year and continuing on in their education at a university or college. The applicant must be pursing a full time student status. The scholarship may be used only for tuition, and the successful applicant must provide proof of registration at a university or college, prior to receiving any scholarship funds. The successful candidate will be announced at the annual CRSF national competition.
A cheque will be issued only after proof of registration in a post secondary institute is received. Active skippers from any province who have a director on the board of the CRSF may apply. The applicant must be a member of the CRSF in good standing.
The applicant must submit copies of application with all pertinent information to each committee member in Canada individually. It is the responsibility of the applicant to verify the application was received.
Please note; There is 0% allotted for Jump Rope Competition Results, and Jump Rope Ability. Please do not include competition results, or your personal scores in your application.
All Scholarship Applications must contain a current, clear photo of the applicant, and be fully completed with a return E-mail address, and MUST be postmarked with a date no later than March 31st, 2008.
For 2008, the committee comprised of one representative from each province will process the scholarship applications. The names of the committee will be posted on the web page with their email addresses. The committee will process and forward the 2008 recipient to the CRSF board by May 01, 2008.

CRSF Scholarship Application 2008 Required Documents
1. Applicants must submit a 500-word composition answering the following questions:
a) What has jump rope meant to me as a person?
b) How am I enhancing the sport of skipping in my province?
Composition worth 10 percent
2. Transcripts or record of marks from secondary school. The committee has option to request official transcripts at a later date if required.
Marks worth 30 percent
3. Three letters of character reference, at least one of which must be skipping related.
Information regarding the applicants’ participation in the sport of rope skipping in the past, present and future should be accessible to the judges simply by reading your composition and your character references, and is worth 40 percent:
Community involvement worth 20 percent
4. Completed Overview of Applicant Form
The final three applicants in Canada will have a 5-minute phone interview to discuss and answer questions pertaining to skipping and other community involvements.
