Congratulations to all those athletes who competed in the Canadian National Rope Skipping Competition held in Abbotsford, BC, May 19th and 20th. Many thanks to Deirdre DeGagne and her organizing committee for the beautiful opening ceremonies and a well-run competition. There were smiles all round and several Canadian records came crashing down!
Congratulations to the following record breakers in the Master division:
30 Second Masters Speed (Ages 18-29) Nicole Grubb - Jump Rope X-treme - 94
3 Minute Endurance (Ages 12-14) Emily MacRae - Brampton Acro Ropers - 410
Power (Ages 18-29) Rheanne Segstro - Rhythm Ropers -144
Power (Ages 15-17) Jaclyn Santamaria - Brampton Acro Ropers - 150
Power (Ages 12-14) Vanessa Gagnon - Eclipse - 140
Congratulations to Eclipse Junior 2 who have a new record in Single Rope Double Under Relay (Ages 12-14 Female) with a score of 300
Jessica Mannette from Eastern Shore Mariners in Nova Scotia was chosen the sportsmanship winner for 2007.
The 2008 National Rope Skipping Championships will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
